Daily Quote

31 Jan

I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours.

If you could live forever, would you? Why or why not?

Prominence Earth

Yes, I would. I just know I’ll regret it, but I’m far to curious to say no if I came across such an opportunity. I want to know what the future hold, how humanity will change, what new things will be discovered, will there ever be true peace, will we kill each other, will we destroy our own planet, will everyone have rights, and much more.  On the other side, all my friends and family will wither away and die. Everyone I will ever love will die. Since I’m going to live such a long time, a normal human lifetime will seem like such a sort time for me. After a while, I think I might just stop caring about the world, go to sleep and sleep until the end. But as I said before, the curiosity overcomes the negative consequences eternal life might bring.

Picture, picture, you’re in bad quality

29 Jan

Mom and I made thai-food today – green curry chicken stew. It was delicious, I tell you! Oh, and here’s a bad quality picture of my prom dress. But I promise you, better photos will be uploaded closer to prom day, which is at 7th June.

The Hangover

1001 Movies to Watch Before You Die | The Hangover (2009)

A Las Vegas-set comedy centered around three groomsmen who lose their about-to-be-wed buddy during their drunken misadventures, then must retrace their steps in order to find him. (IMDB)

Directed by Todd Phillips

I liked it, but it’s not my kind of humour, it’s not the kind of humour that makes me laugh out loud.
My rating: 6/10

Have you ever considered becoming a vegetarian? Why or why not?

Winter salami

Yes, it have been on my mind for quite some time. Why? Because I don’t like meat, the taste of it I mean. The only meat I actually eat are salami and sausages. People get confused when I tell them that I don’t like meat, and telling them I’m a vegetarian would be a lot easier.  It would also be easier at restaurants and at school. On field trips ans stuff like that, I usually have to eat what’s served, since I really can’t demand special food just because I don’t like what’s served. But if I choose to become a vegetarian, I would get to demand special food.

Reasons why I’m having a hard choice about becoming a vegetarian:

  • Salami, the wonderful delicious salami.

How many times have you been in love?

As good as heart can wish

This might sound really tragic, but I have never been in love. Sure, I’ve had crushes and been attracted to people, but never have I been in love. Even though I’m only 18, I still feel as if there’s something wrong with that. Most of my friends have been in love or are in love. It’s a strange feeling, a sort of pressure from society. Sometimes I wonder if I will ever feel romantic love for somebody, but I have the rest of my life in front of me. Someday, somewhere, I might fall in love.

Yeah, that really sounded sappy. Sorry.

Family’s family

Sometimes my brother show that he, despite all evidence to the contrary, can be awesome. Proof?

100 kronor swedish

Image via Wikipedia

Went to Gävle with a friend today, and we got our prom dresses. Mine costs 3200 Swedish kronor (SEK), which translates to 492 US dollars. Freaking expensive, but the dress is truly beautiful and fits me perfectly! Pictures may be uploaded in a day or two.

TMI: When I got of the train, I really needed to “drop a nuke”, if you get my point (if you didn’t I get to call you stupid and tell you it got something to do with the bathroom and a certain thing called toilet). I seriously did not think I would make it home! It was horrible! But fortunately, I did make it home, just in time.

Topic: If stranded on a desert island…

27 Jan

If stranded on a desert island, and could only bring one music album with you, which would it be? What is it about this music that never gets old for you?

Well, either Young Machetes by The Blood Brothers or From Mars to Sirius by Gojira. I seriously cannot choose between these two albums.

I love Gojira, it’s one of my favourite bands ever.  I love their style, their music: the sounds and the vocals, their lyrics, their music videos. Basically, I love everything about them and their music. Usually I listen to a new song on repeat until I’m really fucking tired of it, and whenever I listen to it again, I feel that slightly tired-of-it feeling again. This is not the case with Gojira and this album.  I could listen to this forever.

Young Machetes

The thing with The Blood Brothers, particularly this album, is that I always discover something new with their songs. When I listen to a song for the first time I might not like it, but if I listen to it later, I might love it above all else. Their lyrics are freaking weird and surreal, always having a deeper meaning, and I love it! I felt heartbroken when I discovered that they had broken up and that I would never be able to see them live. I swore to my self that if they ever decided to do a live show again, I will fucking go to it, I don’t care if it’s on the moon, I will get there somehow.

By the way, if I were stranded on a deserted island, how the fuck would I get electricity to play these?

Ain’t no rest for the wicked

24 Jan

Having to study while your head feels like it’s trying to get away from your body is not the best way to spend an evening. Though I have one test over, in philosophy, a bunch of stuff remains.  On Wednesday, in sports (p.e.) we’re going to do leg massage. What’s up with that?
